The role of Nurse comes in all shapes and sizes and we are looking for the right person to work with a young man, who at 30 years old has found himself needing to be supported to manage his complex health needs at home in Burnley, East Lancashire.
The successful applicant will be part of a team of Nurses who will provide Renal Dialysis daily within the family home. This young gentleman is also an amputee. You will also support in the management of diabetes and other health concerns that are associated with both conditions. NB: This list is not exhaustive.
The right person
It is not essential that you have experience in renal care as full training will be given by Specialist renal nurse trainers, but you must be a registered Nurse, and be keen to make life better for the young man and his family.
You should have a friendly and caring person first and foremost, with good common sense, be flexible, enthusiastic and willing to learn! You must also be a calm person, and be able to keep your cool under pressure. You will receive full training in all aspects of clinical duties, regular competency assessments and ongoing clinical support and supervision from senior clinicians.
The hours pay
£14.02 per hour
£17.26 per hour for bank holidays
You will be entitled to 5.6 weeks paid leave, opportunity to join the Workplace Pension Scheme offered to the employer according to eligibility.
You will be paid for all training you attend as part of the role, including clinical supervision.
You will be paid 4 weekly, and will accrue holiday pay on all hours worked as overtime.
Support is provided across the day, 5 hrs a day. Shifts are 7am until 12midday, and work patterns are negotiable on interview. You must be a team player and willing to pick up additional hours and be flexible to cover holidays and times of sickness.
