The job
To support to a lady living in the Westhoughton area who has ME. The role will be to carry out general household tasks as required, including preparing bulk meals for freezing, laundry, changing the bed etc. Support is also needed to get out and about for shopping & socialising.
The right person
Ideally, you would have some experience of supporting people, however, experience in a caring role is not necessary, the right attitude and the ability to work quietly and independently using your own initiative is more important.
Having her wellbeing at heart and maintaining her privacy is key.
Must be fit enough to lift & carry usual household & gardening equipment.
You will need to have a full, clean and valid driving licence and a car available and insured for work purposes.
The Hours
7 hours Mon-Fri.
Times to be agreed with some flexibility. Extra hours may be available on other days dependant on needs.
The rates of pay and benefits: £9.50 Monday – Saturday. £10 Sundays and Bank Holidays
You will receive paid holidays and the opportunity for training relevant to your role. Successful applicants must be eligible to work in the UK. This post is subject to DBS checks the cost of which will be met by your employer.
