A lady with Autism and controlled epilepsy is actively looking for a Personal Assistant to support her with accessing the community and social activities. She loves getting out and about in her local community and enjoys nothing more than going to the library, stopping off for a drink in a café, doing a bit of window shopping or visiting her local garden centre.
Your role will be to provide support to her to get out and about developing her independence, whilst ensuring her safety.
The right person
Ideally, you would have some experience of supporting people with Autism, the right attitude and an understanding of the issues that people face who have Autism is very important.
You will need to have a full, clean and valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
22.5 hours per week. These are to be worked as follows: Monday – Friday – 8.00am – 12.30pm (some flexibility within these hours is required, and, occasionally, some of the hours will need to be worked on a Saturday where required)
The rates of pay and benefits
£8.91 Monday – Saturday. £9.22 Sundays and Bank Holidays
You will receive paid holidays and the opportunity for training relevant to your role.
Successful applicants must be eligible to work in the UK. This post is subject to DBS checks the cost of which will be met by your employer.
