The job

A gentleman is looking for a Personal Assistant to support him in his own home to live well and manage his symptoms of Parkinson’s and arthritis. You will be required to support with personal care, catheter care, transfers, administering medication, meal preparation, and general housework. There will also be the occasional need for support with shopping and accessing the community to attend appointments and engage in social activities.

Are you punctual and reliable? Can you work efficiently and use your initiative to get things done? We want to hear from you if you have a genuine interest in promoting the independence of others, with the ability to recognise when additional support is needed.

You must be able to drive and it is essential that you are a dog lover!

The hours

 12.5 hours per week

Monday to Friday

8.00am for 45 minutes

2.00pm for 20 minutes

4.00pm for 30 minutes

8.00pm for 30 minutes

10.00pm for 30 minutes 

You should always be willing to work as a team, pick up additional hours and be flexible to cover holidays and times of sickness. There will be up to an additional 10.5 hours per week available during the annual leave of other team members.

The rates of pay and benefits 

£8.91 per hour Monday to Saturday. £9.22 per hour Sunday and Bank Holidays. You will receive paid holidays and the opportunity for training relevant to your role.
