This is a busy and fulfilling job for someone with a mature, professional, yet fun outlook. An appropriate level of experience, maturity and aptitude for providing personal care and support with dignity and respect is needed.
It is a 45.5-hour full time role working alternate weekends with occasional Sleeping Night shifts. There is a 4 weekly Shift pattern shown in detail below. Full training for the role, with particular regard to bladder & bowel management, fitness and diet will be provided.
Annual family holidays overseas will require your support and a current valid passport will be essential. The family holiday in Florida / Canada for up to 3 weeks at a time.
This is an all-round position as you will be joining an active family with teenage children so you will need to be flexible as family life requires which includes personal care, general household duties, school runs, getting out and about and doing everyday things – to the max! Also, you will need to be comfortable with 3 German Shepherd dogs oh and a cockapoo who thinks she’s the boss.
Shift pattern is working opposite shifts to another Carer
Week one working: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday. Days Off: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
Week two working: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Days Off : Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday.
Week three working: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday. Days Off: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
Week four working: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Days Off: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday.
Working 13 hours per day Monday to Friday / 6:30am-6:30pm with a flexible returning Bed visit around 8pm
Working 13 hours per day Saturdays and Sundays / 7:30am-7:30pm with a flexible returning Bed visit around 9:30pm
Each working day with a returning bedtime visit takes approximately 1 hour.
Pay & Conditions
With an opportunity to earn £21,185.84 + per annum, the job also attracts 5.6 weeks paid holiday.
Monday to Saturday £8.91 per hour Sunday and Bank Holiday £9.22 per hour. Sleepover Rate £69.76
A full valid U.K. Drivers Licence is essential as on occasion you may be required to drive my wheelchair adapted vehicle. Weekly Coronavirus testing is required with 4 weekly test kits provided!
