We are expanding our special support team of personal carers
Our team of Personal Support Assistants to support a lady who has a Spinal Cord Injury (Tetraplegia) and has complex health needs is expanding once more. We are looking for someone special!
The lady lives in her especially adapted home in Burnley, Lancashire.
Do you have the abilities to provide clinical and personal care, emotional and social support? Could you monitor health and wellbeing with sensitivity? Could you support personal safety and administer medication?
All the training to manage the clinical and caring work will be provided. We are looking for great people with the right values and qualities to join the team. It is not essential that you have experience in care and support but essential attributes like empathy, enthusiasm, a calm approach, willingness to learn and adapt, reliability and flexibility in a changing situation will be what we are looking for in you.
Once trained and following an induction period, you will be able to work independently as a member of an experienced and competent team.
Your employer and her team will ensure you get the right level of support to do a great job. The support provided by you will be mainly in your employer’s home. Being able to respect the employer’s space and privacy is essential.
Here are the details of work patterns:
Hours: Day and Night Shifts are available including relief and bank. Shifts are 8 am to 8 pm and the waking night is 8 pm to 8 am. The Rate of Pay is £9 per hour Days/Weekends/Nights. There will be a probationary period of work to complete.
You will receive 5.6 weeks paid leave per year. Successful applicants will be subject to a DBS check and clearance.
Waking hours staff must be able to drive.
