Personal Assistant – Complex Clinical Care
Are you someone who is calm, and reacts well under pressure? Do you love to be challenged and learn new things? Are you someone who is motivated and able to self manage if needed?
If so then a role in Complex Care could be for you!
Personal Assistants’ roles come in all shapes and sizes and we are looking for a PA to work with a young man with complex medical needs who live independently at home supported by his amazing family and current care team. You will provide personal care, undertake complex clinical care tasks and provide emotional and social support. Our employer may have different requirements from their PA’s and the clinical tasks will vary. For example, you may be involved in tasks like administering medications, tube feeding, monitoring epilepsy, ventilation, wound care and gastrostomy care. You will work as part of a team, within the home and out and about in the local community. NB: This list is not exhaustive.
The right person:
It is not essential that you have experience in care and support but you must have common sense, be flexible, enthusiastic and willing to learn! You must also be a calm person, and be able to keep your cool under pressure. You will receive full training in all aspects of clinical duties, regular competency assessments and ongoing clinical support and supervision.
The Hours :
PA Support is provided across the day, 24 hrs a day. Shifts are negotiable at the interview, part-time hours are available. Day and Night shifts are available. You must be a team player and willing to pick up additional hours and be flexible to cover holidays and times of sickness.
