Personal Assistants’ roles come in all shapes and sizes and we are looking for a PA to work with a young man with complex medical needs who live independently at home supported by his amazing family and current care team. You will provide personal care, undertake complex clinical care tasks and provide emotional and social support. Our employer may have different requirements from their PA’s and the clinical tasks will vary. For example, you may be involved in tasks like administering medications, tube feeding, monitoring epilepsy, ventilation, wound care and gastrostomy care. You will work as part of a team, within the home and out and about in the local community.
We are looking for an outgoing individual to work with this young outgoing adult with complex health needs, a background in complex health needs is ideal but full training will be given. You must have a good sense of humour and be able to adapt quickly to change.
Hours per week 20 hours per week support average( this can be split between 2 for 10hrs per week), this is on a 4 weekly rota basis per completed in advance and based on the young man’s needs. A mixture of days, evenings, nights and weekend work is available.
Rate of pay –£12.00- £14.00 per hour.
Applicants need to be understanding, caring and patient. Previous experience of working within a similar role would be desirable but not essential.
Applicants are preferred to hold a full, clean and valid license, although this is not mandatory.
DBS check will be completed once appointed, the cost will be met by the employer
