Personal Assistants support people to live well. They provide the right support at the right time to help others to live their best lives.  Is this you? Do you want a job that is rewarding and fulfilling? 

The job

We are looking for PAs who can work flexibly to support someone at home and in the community. You will assist with personal care including showering, meal preparation and promote independence with other daily living activities around the home. Every fortnight, you will support with social activities in the community and occasionally help with attending appointments. 

The right person

Do you have an understanding and caring nature? It is not essential for you to have experience in a care setting but it would be an advantage for you to have knowledge about Autism, ME, PTSD and bipolar disorder. 

You will be required to push a manual wheelchair when in the community and you must be comfortable around friendly animals, as the employer has a dog and two cats. A driver is preferable but not essential.

You must be trans nonbinary friendly.

The hours

Support will be required mainly on weekdays for 7 hours per week – the days and times may be flexible, but they will be arranged and agreed with you in advance. There will be some occasional weekend work for 2 hours.

You should always be willing to work as a team and pick up additional hours and be flexible to cover holidays and times of sickness. 

The rates of pay and benefits

£10.50 per hour

You will receive paid holidays and the opportunity for training relevant to your role.
